Terms & Conditions

Interpretation Hours

Interpretation hours are calculated from the scheduled start to the end of the assignment, including breaks but excluding a one-hour lunch break.

Interpretation provided during the lunch break is counted as billable time.

Rehearsals

Event-day rehearsals are billed as interpretation time from the start of the rehearsal.

Rehearsals held on a different day are charged at the standard interpretation rate.

Cancellation Fees

Cancellation fees apply once an interpretation service agreement has been confirmed.

  • Cancellation 4–7 days prior to the event: 30% of the interpretation fee
  • Cancellation 2–3 days prior to the event: 40% of the interpretation fee
  • Cancellation 1 day prior to the event: 50% of the interpretation fee
  • Same-day cancellation: 100% of the interpretation fee
Number of Interpreters

Simultaneous interpretation requires a minimum of two interpreters, regardless of meeting duration.

A third interpreter may be assigned depending on the complexity and length of the assignment.

Pre-Project Briefing

Pre-project briefing sessions are charged at KRW 200,000 per interpreter per hour.

Meeting materials are requested at least one week in advance via email or courier whenever possible.

Coordination Fee

An additional coordination fee of 5–10% of the interpretation fee may apply depending on interpreter availability, project complexity, and scheduling requirements.

Recording & Broadcasting

Prior approval is required for any recording or broadcasting of interpretation services.

  • Recording: Additional 50% of the interpretation fee
  • Broadcasting: Additional 100% of the interpretation fee
Late-Night Interpretation

Interpretation services provided between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM are subject to an additional charge of KRW 50,000 per interpreter per hour.

For assignments involving recording or broadcasting, the late-night surcharge will not be applied separately.

Business Travel Policy

■ Domestic Travel

Travel Time Compensation

Compensation applies for travel time on the day before the assignment begins and/or the day after the assignment concludes.

  • One-day domestic assignment: KRW 400,000
  • Per diem while away from the interpreter's residence (Seoul): KRW 200,000 per day
  • Non-working days during the assignment period: KRW 400,000 per day
Transportation
  • Round-trip transportation to and from the assignment location shall be arranged and covered by the client.
  • Domestic air travel is required whenever applicable.
  • For destinations without airport access, KTX rail transportation should be provided.
  • Mileage reimbursement may apply for assignments outside the Seoul metropolitan area.

■ International Travel

Travel Time Compensation

Compensation applies for travel time on the day before the assignment begins and/or the day after the assignment concludes.

  • One-day international assignment: KRW 500,000
  • For flights exceeding 8 hours, a minimum of one rest day before and after the assignment is recommended.
  • For flights exceeding 16 hours, a minimum of two rest days before and after the assignment is recommended.
Per Diem & Accommodation
  • Per diem while away from the interpreter's residence: KRW 200,000 per day
  • Non-working days during the assignment period: KRW 500,000 per day
  • The client is responsible for round-trip airfare, local transportation, and hotel accommodation (single occupancy).

Project-Based Services

Project Definition

Duration

Long-term interpretation and translation assignments extending beyond two weeks.

Projects are generally defined as follows:

  • 1 week: Minimum 4 assignments per week
  • 2 weeks: Minimum 3 assignments per week
  • 3 weeks: Minimum 2 assignments per week
  • 4 weeks: Minimum 1 assignment per week
  • Longer-term engagements: Evaluated based on frequency and continuity
Frequency

Applicable to recurring assignments and ongoing projects.

Scope

Applies to both interpretation and translation services.

Notes

Project rates are based on a commitment to a defined scope and schedule. Terms and conditions may be adjusted depending on assignment frequency, duration, and overall project volume.
